Between the ages of 2 and 3 the brain has twice as many synapses as the adult brain. With the correct interventions, wiring in the brain can be changed and atypical motor or sensory patterns can be improved. Milestones set the foundation for future skills and independence and how those milestones are achieved is just as important as achieving them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: What does a typical session look like?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Your child will be seen in their natural environment so they can learn and thrive in a comfortable, familiar setting. Therapy is play-based, hands-on and family-centered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: How do I get started?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will set up an initial evaluation session to determine where your child is at developmentally, discuss your concerns and establish a need for on-going therapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Q: What are some of the conditions you have worked with?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have worked with so many wonderful children and families! Some of the conditions I have worked with are Cerebral Palsy, HIE, post-stroke, Spina Bifida, Pfeiffer&#8217;s Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Torticollis and Plagiocephaly, significant prematurity, ASD, Osteogenesis Imperfecta, SMA and a variety of genetic and metabolic diagnoses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Q: Do you accept insurance and what is the cost?
